our creative homes

Fibelove is a lovestory and passion for the circular economy, linking resources doomed to landfill, with creativity, training and healing creatively locally.
Tottenham, with its rich history of Druid mounts, Danish border, Quakers schools, Roland Hill invention of the postal stamp, textile industry en masse delocalisation, social unrest messages for growth, became home to circular economy CreativeStudio4, an independent project mapping out unused resources and creative hands and minds from stigmatised backgrounds, wishing to get their lives back on track under a safe creative roof. From 2009 to 2017 CS4 became a lighthouse under the guidance of industry textile and social experts sharing life skills and specific training from a street window on the frontline of one of the most feared London social estate.

Its simple cost effective mission to link “at risk” resources helped bring to life unthought of possibilities to youths aspiring to create city nature balance, by displaying a practical circular economy in action with an aim to heal, having a green mission to save fibres and bring creativity to life for confidence building. Sharing surplus textile resources with surrounding community groups was also a big hit as it helped them inject inspirational practical activities into their existing programmes and generate new ways to fundraise for their vulnerable groups.

Following a life threatening incident in 2017, the Studio spun into a new circular nest. Having found an ally in the private sector, the sewing machine, shelves and table were lodged at the SueMe Sustainable Guilt Free Nature Friendly ActionWear HQs, following a three year creative collaboration of the development of SueMe Outerwear. This collaborative project helped increase the repurposing use of existing donated textile resources, and enabled the discovery of high tech sustainable fibres, such as new ways to recycle plastic into fleece.

The circular economy also continues looping within further London community centres such as TheThanet in Camden where upscaling and helping have become one.

If you wish to share your own Circular Story or Creative Studio Space feel free to do so, Fibelove  welcome all testimonies helping society and people grow healthily Contact
